Currently, the focus is on addressing the mental health needs of children, with plans to incorporate additional services for adults, couples, and families. Shelly Carbo, a provider at Prairie Grit, noted that having both physical therapy and counseling in one location is beneficial as it allows children to maintain familiarity, eliminating the need to establish new relationships with separate providers.

Hackett highlighted the urgency for mental health services within the community, expressing confidence that they can meet the demand. "Mental health is such a big need for our community; we know that. A lot of places are inundated with people looking for those services. Our doors are wide open, and so are our time slots," he stated.

There is currently no waitlist or referral requirement for accessing mental health services at Prairie Grit, and consultations can be arranged with just a phone call. The facility is also in-network with all major insurance companies. Renovations for the new mental health wing are expected to be completed in the next few days. Prairie Grit encourages those interested in their services to reach out for consultation.
