Hackensack Meridian Carrier Clinic will hold its annual Walk of Hope on October 17. The event features a one-mile loop around the Carrier Clinic campus, along with live music and family-friendly fall activities, and will take place rain or shine. Proceeds will support services at Carrier Clinic, including the expansion of its adolescent unit, and therapy programs such as pet, equine, and music therapy, as well as language interpretation services to aid patients in overcoming mental illness and addiction.

Attendance is free, and participants who raise at least $50 will receive commemorative t-shirts. Individuals can also host fundraisers at GiveHMH.org/HostYourOwn to gather support from friends, family, and the community.
Rohit Majahan, president and chief hospital executive of Carrier Clinic, highlighted the event as a source of inspiration and crucial support for patients in need of comprehensive behavioral health services. He noted the increasing demand for services for adolescents and adults facing addiction and complex mental health conditions and encouraged the community to join in support.
Joyce P. Hendricks, president and chief development officer of the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation, emphasized the importance of philanthropy in enhancing mental health initiatives and described the Walk of Hope as an opportunity for donors and corporate partners to show support for those in need.
Funds raised will benefit Carrier Clinic, a major not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and addiction treatment services in New Jersey, and will support the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation's Be The Difference campaign. Launched in September 2024, this campaign focuses on enhancing patient care, advancing research, expanding access to care, and improving medical education while supporting nursing.
