At the end of June, Comillas researcher and lecturer Pepe Gamoneda chaired a symposium on Emotion-Focused Therapy during the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR) annual conference in Japan, a leading event in psychotherapy research.
In July, UNINPSI continued its engagement at the International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychosis (ISPS) conference, where Macarena Sánchez-Izquierdo, Rocío Caballero, Paula Collazo, and Jesús Oliver were recognized for their work on a protocol addressing the dual discrimination and stigma faced by older individuals with severe mental disorders.
Additionally, the Department of Psychology participated in the 19th Congress of the Spanish Association for the Methodology of Behavioural Sciences (AEMCCO) in Almería, which celebrated 40 years of the discipline in Spanish higher education. Lecturers and students presented over a dozen scientific papers, demonstrating the department's research efforts and commitment to advancing methodology in psychology.
The summer's academic activities will culminate with participation at the International Meeting of the Psychometric Society in South Korea, where experts in psychological measurement will convene. This robust program illustrates UNINPSI’s dedication to quality research and its connection with the international scientific community, aiming to generate impactful knowledge.
