The release aligns with consumer demand for healthier snack options, particularly among parents. Data from NielsenIQ indicates that 35% of parents choosing snacks for their Gen Alpha children prioritize natural ingredients, with 34% specifically looking for high-protein options. Given that children often have about three snacks daily, parents have more chances to select snacks that are both nutritious and flavorful.
Sola Snack Size Bagels feature a protein-to-calorie ratio of over 1g of protein for every 10 calories, supplying complete protein with all 9 essential amino acids. Two of these bagels provide 28% of the Daily Value for protein.
“Consumers don’t want to choose between food that tastes great and food that works harder for them,” said Kevin Brouillette, President of Spring Foods. “Snack Size Bagels were created to provide a more exciting snacking option with the protein, fiber, and nutrition they seek.”
Each new flavor is Non-GMO Project Verified and includes Avocado Oil, adding to its appeal. The Blu-Berry Snack Size Bagels, now in mini form, include 15g of complete protein, 3g net carbs, and 0g added sugar. The returning Chocolatey Chip Snack Size Bagels offer 14g of complete protein and 120 calories, also with 0g added sugar.
This product launch follows Sola's recent expansion within Target, further enhancing shopper access to Sola products. The Snack Size Bagels are priced at a suggested $7.99.
