The celebration took place on the Mall, featuring over 40 vendors and university organizations. Participants were provided with resources and opportunities to connect and engage, while enjoying free pizza, games, music, and mental health bingo. A night cycle ride was also organized by Campus Recreation.
Sara Baker, wellness and health program manager in Counseling and Wellness Services, emphasized the importance of community support, stating, "We are celebrating World Mental Health Day today, so we can show that our community supports mental health. We are all here to support one another and support our pack."
This event was hosted for the fourth consecutive year by the Health and Wellness Task Force, which aims to create a culture of care on Wright State’s Dayton and Lake campuses and to promote resources for enhancing community well-being.
