The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced on September 25 that it has awarded $247.9 million in grants aimed at enhancing access to addiction treatment, mental health services, and recovery support throughout the United States. The funding will be utilized to support mental health services in schools, provide trauma treatment for children and families, and assist first responders and communities in their efforts to counteract overdoses. Additionally, the grants will help individuals in recovery as they work towards re-entering the workforce.
