The program is set to welcome its first residents in November, addressing a critical need for enhanced local treatment options for eating disorders. Amanda Drobnica, president and CEO of The Healing Connection, highlighted the challenges families faced in seeking treatment, often sending their children far from home for care. “We have seen so many of our adolescents, specifically in our partial hospitalization program, that needed a higher level of care that we couldn’t offer locally,” Drobnica said. She emphasized the importance of providing local resources, stating, “to be able to offer this in our backyard is going to be life-changing for a lot of our families.”
The Healing Connection continues to provide various resources for individuals dealing with eating disorders.
