The discussion will cover critical periods such as pregnancy, the postpartum period, and peri-/post menopause. The goal is to equip attendees with practical, patient-centered strategies for screening, diagnosing, and managing insomnia during these reproductive transitions.
The webinar will be moderated by Dr. Michelle Jonelis, founder and medical director of Lifestyle Sleep in the San Francisco Bay Area, who specializes in non-pharmacologic approaches to sleep disorders.
Featured speakers include:
- Dr. Fiona Baker, Director of the Human Sleep Research Program at SRI International, who researches sleep physiology and its implications on women’s health.
- Dr. Rachel Manber, a clinical scientist focused on cognitive behavioral interventions for insomnia, particularly in conjunction with medical and psychiatric conditions, as well as during pregnancy.
- Dr. Suzie Bertisch, an internist and sleep medicine specialist at Harvard Medical School, who leads clinical practices and research on insomnia treatments across various populations.
The session will offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for physicians and Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for sleep technologists. The AASM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and has determined the need for this activity based on professional practice gaps and trends in the field.
