Research indicates that nearly 17% of children prescribed GLP-1 drugs experienced nutritional deficiencies within one year. Among these medications, liraglutide was the most commonly used, accounting for 78.6% of prescriptions, followed by dulaglutide at 10.4%, and semaglutide at 9.1%. The study highlights the importance of proactive nutritional management for children receiving these medications, rather than addressing deficiencies only once they are diagnosed.
