On September 15, Insomnia Cookies will host its eighth annual “PJ Party” at locations nationwide, offering participants a free classic cookie for attending in sleepwear. Rachel Gonzalez, manager of the Lincoln location at 1601 Q St., noted, “If you come to the PJ Party in your PJs, you’re eligible.” The bakery opens at 11 a.m. and stays open until 1 a.m. on weekdays and 3 a.m. on weekends. In addition to complimentary cookies, attendees can win various prizes, including hats, stickers, tote bags, and more, available with a small purchase. A larger prize pool features items like a grand dorm makeover, free cookies for a year, an espresso machine, and headphones. To enter, participants can take a photo during the event, tag @insomniacookie, and use the hashtag #insomniapjparty.
The dress code for sleepwear is flexible, permitting anything from matching pajama sets to T-shirts and shorts, ensuring everyone can join the festivities. Gonzalez emphasized the inclusivity of the event, stating, “We’re having a party and everyone is invited. We want to make it fun.”
Beyond free cookies, the PJ Party offers an environment for customers to connect with each other and the Insomnia Cookies community. Employee Kylie Baxter expressed, “It’s so welcoming and it smells really good, all the time.”
