This funding opportunity is open to community-based organizations in Texas, Florida, Louisville, Kentucky, and New Orleans. Applications will be accepted from January 25 to March 19, 2027.

Eligible organizations must serve older adults (ages 55 and older) from diverse backgrounds and be interested in enhancing behavioral health programming. A facility for hosting workshops is also required.

Participants will receive $5,000 in funding, training in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), and access to resources for the Linking Lives: A Journey to Wellness program, which includes facilitator guides and technical support. Additionally, organizations will benefit from a Peer Support Program Implementation Guide.

Organizations must conduct required activities between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2028. This includes identifying staff for facilitator training, implementing the wellness program, and engaging a minimum of 40 participants. Organizations are also expected to host at least two MHFA courses and collect testimonials from participants showing program impact.

To apply, organizations should complete a Mental Well-Being and Social Connections Project Interest Form. The application includes sections on contact information, organizational capacity, community demographics, and the applicant's experience with mental health programming.

This initiative aims to empower local organizations to bolster mental well-being and enhance community connections among older adults.
