Additionally, an association between the DTI-ALPS index and the severity of sleep disturbances (p=0.013, r=−0.47) and impaired concentration (p=0.026, r=−0.43) was observed, suggesting that reduced glymphatic function may contribute to cognitive dysfunction and sleep disturbances experienced by individuals with ME/CFS.
