The distance of 222 miles symbolizes the 22 veterans who die by suicide each day. Ladieu serves as the executive director at Camp Resilience, an organization that offers retreats for veterans and first responders in the Lakes Region. Camp Resilience is working to raise $100,000 to support its mission. Donations can still be made through the Camp Resilience website.
